As an artist, my mission is to take you on an emotional journey through my work—inviting you to explore both the familiar and the faraway. My name is Cassandra H. Wiese, and through Life As Arts LLC, I create pieces that evoke the mood, energy, and dynamic spirit of the spaces I capture. Using a combination of watercolor, pastel, and acrylic, I blend impressionistic and expressionistic techniques to transform everyday moments into powerful, emotional experiences.

Each piece is a story—one where the location and its atmosphere come to life through color, line, and texture. Rather than simply illustrating a place, I focus on the emotions it holds in that specific moment. My art emphasizes feeling over detail, using fluid lines and vibrant hues to resonate with the viewer on a deeper, more visceral level. I aim to connect the viewer to the energy of the subject, encouraging them to experience not just what they see, but what they feel.

Having showcased my work in juried art shows such as the Falls Festival of the Arts and Make Art MKE, and exhibited at the Museum of Wisconsin Art, I strive to engage a wide audience with both public art events and gallery shows. Additionally, through my published picture books, I extend my artistic expression into storytelling, reinforcing my belief that art should ignite the imagination. Whether I’m painting en plein air or creating a gallery piece, my goal remains the same: to capture the emotions of a moment and share them with the world.
